Long before we poured our fist cocktail, this corner of downtown Durham was already writing its own story. In 1932, the S.H. Kress Company tore down what stood here and built one of the most detailed Art Deco storefronts in North Carolina.
We are hoiused in the Cellar Level of that vary building. Where shoppers once browsed a five-and-dime, we now pour Traditional Botanical Teas & Hemp Derived Cocktails. A different kind of ritual, in a room that has seen nearly a hundred years of Durham pass through it.
